How to Send a Blank Message on WhatsApp

Want to confuse your friends or just send a mysterious empty message? WhatsApp normally won't let you send a message with only spaces—the send button stays grayed out. But with an invisible character, you can bypass this completely.

Here's how to do it: First, tap the copy button above to grab the invisible character. Then open WhatsApp and go to any chat. Tap the message field and paste what you copied. You won't see anything in the text box, but the character is there. Now tap send. Your contact will receive what looks like a completely blank message. You can send multiple invisible characters in a row to create even more space between messages if you want to really throw someone off.

This trick also works in WhatsApp group chats and WhatsApp Status. Some people use blank messages to bump a conversation to the top of their chat list without actually saying anything, or to create a pause in a heated discussion.

How to Make an Invisible Discord Username

An invisible or blank Discord username makes your name disappear in chat, member lists, and voice channels. It's a popular trick for creating a mysterious presence or just having fun with friends on a server.

To set it up, copy the invisible character from the tool above. Open Discord and click the gear icon next to your username to access User Settings. Go to My Account and click Edit next to your username. Delete your current display name and paste the invisible character you copied. Click Done to save your changes. Your username will now appear blank to everyone on Discord.

Keep in mind that your actual Discord tag (the numbers after the #) will still be visible when someone clicks on your profile. Also, some servers have bots that detect invisible names and may ask you to change it. But for most casual servers and DMs, this works perfectly. You can also use the invisible character in your Discord server nickname, custom status, or About Me section to create clean spacing or a minimalist look.

How to Put Spaces in Your Instagram Bio

Instagram bios have a frustrating quirk: when you try to add line breaks by pressing Enter, Instagram often ignores them and smashes all your text together. This makes it hard to create a clean, organized bio with proper spacing between lines.

The invisible character fixes this problem. Copy it from the button above, then open Instagram and go to Edit Profile. In your bio field, type your first line of text. When you want to create a new line, press Enter and then paste the invisible character at the start of the next line. Repeat this for each line break you want. The invisible character acts as a placeholder that Instagram recognizes as real content, so it preserves your line breaks instead of removing them.

You can also use multiple invisible characters to create extra vertical space between sections of your bio. This is great for separating your job title from your location, or your interests from your contact info.
